Hanging scroll, ink on paper, inscribed by the artist and signed Chun Shi Dai Xi, with an artist's seal Chunshi, the poetry hall with an inscription in slender gold script by Tang Hong (1926-2018) dated xinchou (1961) with four calligrapher's seals, the outer titleslip also inscribed by Tang Hong and dated 1961.

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ink Bamboo by Dai Xi was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. It achieved a price of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,283.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dai Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ancient Pine in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,250,000.00 (€ 237,410.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ink Bamboo von Dai Xi kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.283,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dai Xi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ancient Pine im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.250.000,00 (€ 237.410,97).
