In September 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Damien Hirst - Beautiful Inside My Head Forever, which included the work Killing Time Drawing by Damien Hirst. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 42,050.00 (€ 53,167.97), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen

Im September 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Damien Hirst - Beautiful Inside My Head Forever durch, in der auch die Arbeit Killing Time Drawing von Damien Hirst zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 42.050,00 (€ 53.167,97) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
