In July this year Phillips in 29 June - held the auction Let Loose: Online Auction, which included the work Politeness (from The Virtues series, H9-4) by Damien Hirst. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 139,700.00 (€ 16,251.85), 55% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 55 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 29 June - die Auktion Let Loose: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Politeness (from The Virtues series, H9-4) von Damien Hirst zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 139.700,00 (€ 16.251,85) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
