Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Three head studies by Daniel Bamigbade was auctioned at Bonhams in London in April 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 765.00 (€ 879.97). Admittedly, works by Daniel Bamigbade have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trois Masques in May last year with an auction result of EUR 6,822.00.
