Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a ranchero and his horse, Mexico by Daniel Thomas Egerton was sold in the Travel & Exploration auction at Bonhams in London in September last year. The price achieved of GBP 31,800.00 (€ 36,191.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Daniel Thomas Egerton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Ravine of the Desert (The Valley of Mexico) in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 384,000.00 (€ 284,023.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a ranchero and his horse, Mexico von Daniel Thomas Egerton wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Travel & Exploration bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.800,00 (€ 36.191,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Thomas Egerton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Ravine of the Desert (The Valley of Mexico) im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 384.000,00 (€ 284.023,67).
