This artwork by Dante Gabriel Rossetti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2017. In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Portrait Of Miss Herbert sold for GBP 187,500.00 (€ 209,221.21) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dante Gabriel Rossetti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pandora in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 5,346,500.00 (€ 6,571,020.97).
