Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Femme assise accoudée by Dario Caterina was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 192.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dario Caterina - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Homme tombant, which sold at auction in October this year for EUR 486.40.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Femme assise accoudée von Dario Caterina im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 192,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Dario Caterina mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Homme tombant beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für EUR 486,40 versteigert wurde.
