Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pelea Fratricida by David Alfaro Siqueiros was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 93,750.00 (€ 76,882.07), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by David Alfaro Siqueiros have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 425,000.00 (€ 385,697.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pelea Fratricida von David Alfaro Siqueiros wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 76.882,07) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Alfaro Siqueiros auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 425.000,00 (€ 385.697,43).
