Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale, which included the work Quarrying - Jewish Pioneer Labour by David Bomberg. It changed hands for a price of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 29,290.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Bomberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Church Of The Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,224,900.00 (€ 1,744,688.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Quarrying - Jewish Pioneer Labour von David Bomberg zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 29.290,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Bomberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Church Of The Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.224.900,00 (€ 1.744.688,09).
