Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century and Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Hidden Drawing (Jordan begins 8th season as No. 1) by David Hammons. The price achieved of USD 181,250.00 (€ 153,940.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hammons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 8,005,000.00 (€ 5,883,433.78).
