The work The artist's studio by David Oyens was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2000. It achieved a price of NLG 10,531.80 (€ 4,854.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Oyens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work De Stamtafel: storytelling in a cafe, which sold at auction in May 2014 for EUR 16,250.00.

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von NLG 10.531,80 (€ 4.854,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von David Oyens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit De Stamtafel: storytelling in a cafe beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert wurde.
