Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dhruva Mistry could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,447.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dhruva Mistry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman (Study For River) in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,324.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dhruva Mistry konnte im März 2014 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 4.750,00 (€ 3.447,78) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dhruva Mistry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman (Study For River) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.324,99).
