Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Architectural Composition by Dia Al-Azzawi was auctioned at Christies in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 73,003.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dia Al-Azzawi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Arsak Mowt (Your Wedding is Death), which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 235,500.00 (€ 214,833.06).
