Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for the Thousand and One Nights: The Story of the Merchant and His Parrot by Dia Al-Azzawi was auctioned at Bonhams in London in February last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,371.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 900.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dia Al-Azzawi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arsak Mowt (Your Wedding is Death) in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 235,500.00 (€ 214,833.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for the Thousand and One Nights: The Story of the Merchant and His Parrot von Dia Al-Azzawi kam im Februar letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.371,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 900,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dia Al-Azzawi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arsak Mowt (Your Wedding is Death) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 235.500,00 (€ 214.833,06).
