The work The Bird Of The East by Dia Al-Azzawi was sold in the Contemporary Art / Doha auction at Sothebys in Doha in April 2015. The »bidding war« ended at USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,589.68), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dia Al-Azzawi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Arsak Mowt (Your Wedding is Death), which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 235,500.00 (€ 214,833.06).

Die Arbeit The Bird Of The East von Dia Al-Azzawi wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Art / Doha bei Sothebys in Doha versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.589,68) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Dia Al-Azzawi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Arsak Mowt (Your Wedding is Death) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für USD 235.500,00 (€ 214.833,06) versteigert wurde.
