Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Niño con alcatraces by Diego Rivera was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in November 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 118,750.00 (€ 104,875.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diego Rivera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rivals in November last year with an auction result of USD 14,130,000.00 (€ 13,687,881.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Niño con alcatraces von Diego Rivera wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 104.875,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Diego Rivera erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Rivals im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.130.000,00 (€ 13.687.881,43).
