The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 264,600.00 (€ 218,046.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Eurasian eagle-owl with other birds in a landscape is the most expensive artwork by Dirk Valkenburg that we have observed at auctions so far.
