Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A nautilus shell, a glass and a bouquet of roses and chrysanthemums on a ledge by Dominique Hubert Rozier was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,716.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dominique Hubert Rozier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses in a basket with cherries alongside, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,378.28).
