This artwork by Domoto Hisao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2015. In the ASOBI: Japanese and Korean Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for GBP 146,500.00 (€ 204,916.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Domoto Hisao; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Painting 1960-14 sold at auction in October 2015 with the realized price of HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 219,049.99).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Domoto Hisao erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ASOBI: Japanese and Korean Modern & Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 146.500,00 (€ 204.916,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Domoto Hisao; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Painting 1960-14 im Oktober 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 219.049,99).
