Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Brushwork III – Abstract Masters, which included the work Radiance by Domoto Hisao. The price achieved of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,340.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domoto Hisao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Painting 1960-14 in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 219,049.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Brushwork III – Abstract Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Radiance von Domoto Hisao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.340,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Domoto Hisao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Painting 1960-14 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 219.049,99).
