In November 2019 Il Ponte held the auction Dipinti e Sculture Del XIX e XX Secolo, which included the work L'illuminista by Donato Barcaglia. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,900.00 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donato Barcaglia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Amore Accieca (Love Blinded) in May 2004 with an auction result of AUD 167,300.00 (€ 97,748.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Dipinti e Sculture Del XIX e XX Secolo durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'illuminista von Donato Barcaglia zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.900,00 und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donato Barcaglia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Amore Accieca (Love Blinded) im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 167.300,00 (€ 97.748,01).
