Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Lake Narrabeen, 1929 by Douglas Robert Dundas. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 1,230.00 (€ 1,022.44). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Douglas Robert Dundas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self Portrait, which sold at auction in August this year for AUD 6,765.00 (€ 4,036.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lake Narrabeen, 1929 von Douglas Robert Dundas zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 1.230,00 (€ 1.022,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Douglas Robert Dundas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Self Portrait beobachtet, die im August diesen Jahres für AUD 6.765,00 (€ 4.036,91) versteigert wurde.
