Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dudley Hardy could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Victorian Pictures auction, the work The Fish Market, On The Quayside changed hands for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,050.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Dudley Hardy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In The Sun in March 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 6,877.54).
