Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flood by Duncan Shanks was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2014. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,926.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Duncan Shanks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plum Tree, Early Winter in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 4,935.00 (€ 7,853.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flood von Duncan Shanks kam im September 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.926,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Duncan Shanks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plum Tree, Early Winter im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.935,00 (€ 7.853,14).
