Despite a disappointment, a good price for E. W. Bearman
In June 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work The S.S. Normandie by E. W. Bearman for USD 1,200.00 (€ 887.57). This price was achieved in the auction Ocean Liner at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, The S.S. Normandie is the most expensive artwork by E. W. Bearman that we have observed at auction so far.
