Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ebenezer Akinola could be acquired at Bonhams in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Discovery Online auction, the work At the Market (framed) changed hands for GBP 204.00 (€ 230.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Ebenezer Akinola have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Goat Market in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,138.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ebenezer Akinola konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Discovery Online wechselte die Arbeit At the Market (framed) für GBP 204,00 (€ 230,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ebenezer Akinola auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Goat Market im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.138,66).
