Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blockhead Lamp by Eddie Martinez was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in July last year. The price achieved of HKD 168,000.00 (€ 20,962.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 140,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eddie Martinez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work High Flying Bird in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 15,725,000.00 (€ 1,823,808.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blockhead Lamp von Eddie Martinez kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 168.000,00 (€ 20.962,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 140.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eddie Martinez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit High Flying Bird im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 15.725.000,00 (€ 1.823.808,88).
