Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Eclectic, which included the work White Magic by Eddie Martinez. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,209.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eddie Martinez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work High Flying Bird in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 15,725,000.00 (€ 1,823,808.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Eclectic durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Magic von Eddie Martinez zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.209,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eddie Martinez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit High Flying Bird im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 15.725.000,00 (€ 1.823.808,88).
