Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2014 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Portrait of an elegant lady by Edmé-Adolphe Fontaine. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,576.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Edmé-Adolphe Fontaine have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2020 the work A Snow-Covered Mountain Landscape At Bois De Satory, Near Le Désert was auctioned for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,300.68).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.576,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden.
