Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edmond Maurus could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Vintage Posters auction, the work La Forêt Vierge, Boubin (Bohême) changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 768.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmond Maurus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work United States Lines in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,318.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edmond Maurus konnte im Mai 2014 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Vintage Posters wechselte die Arbeit La Forêt Vierge, Boubin (Bohême) für GBP 625,00 (€ 768,15) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmond Maurus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit United States Lines im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.318,99).
