In the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, Miniatures auction, the work Portrait D'Homme Au Béret sold for EUR 372.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 150.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eduard Charlemont achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pages in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 54,320.09).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Eduard Charlemont erzielte im Februar 2012 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, Miniatures wurde die Arbeit Portrait D'Homme Au Béret für EUR 372,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 150,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eduard Charlemont erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pages im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 54.320,09).
