Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Living with Art, which included the work Le Café Biard vers la Porte St Denis by Édouard Cortès. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,954.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Édouard Cortès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boulevard in Montmartre, Paris in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 73,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living with Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Café Biard vers la Porte St Denis von Édouard Cortès zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.954,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Édouard Cortès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boulevard in Montmartre, Paris im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 73.000,00.
