Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La moucherolle du Paradis et petit rubis de la Caroline - Two hummingbirds by Edouard Traviès was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2000. The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,793.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edouard Traviès achieve.
