Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work The Palace Ball by Eduardo León Garrido for USD 48,000.00 (€ 40,016.67). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Eduardo León Garrido have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2014 by the work La farandole at USD 75,000.00 (€ 59,856.34).
