Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Made in CaliforniaPhotographs, which included the work Palm Tree #1 by Ed Ruscha. The price achieved of USD 10,240.00 (€ 9,256.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 9,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Ruscha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurting the Word Radio #2 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,485,000.00 (€ 47,631,364.01).
