Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December last year Christies in London held the auction British and European Art: Online, which included the work August, Waxham Beach, Norfolk by Edward Seago. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,160.00 (€ 22,758.68). Admittedly, works by Edward Seago have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Household Cavalry in the Mall in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 175,000.00 (€ 196,213.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art: Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit August, Waxham Beach, Norfolk von Edward Seago zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.160,00 (€ 22.758,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Seago auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Household Cavalry in the Mall im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 175.000,00 (€ 196.213,48).
