Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Porto Ercole, Tuscany by Edward Seago was sold in the British Impressionism Day Sale auction at Christies in London in November 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 53,919.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Seago - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Household Cavalry in the Mall, which sold at auction in July 2018 for GBP 175,000.00 (€ 196,213.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Porto Ercole, Tuscany von Edward Seago wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion British Impressionism Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 53.919,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Seago mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Household Cavalry in the Mall beobachtet, die im Juli 2018 für GBP 175.000,00 (€ 196.213,48) versteigert wurde.
