Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dusk at a lakeside with a castle beyond by Edward Train was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. It achieved a price of GBP 828.75 (€ 945.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Train - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures in a Highland landscape; Boating on a loch; and Figures on the banks of a loch, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,073.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dusk at a lakeside with a castle beyond von Edward Train kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 828,75 (€ 945,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Train mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures in a Highland landscape; Boating on a loch; and Figures on the banks of a loch beobachtet, die im März 2002 für GBP 1.880,00 (€ 3.073,31) versteigert wurde.
