Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Hills Of Point Pleasant by Edward Willis Redfield. The price achieved of USD 245,000.00 (€ 177,806.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Willis Redfield - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Road To The River, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 730,000.00 (€ 691,156.98).
