In the Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit Including Collection of a Nobleman Part I auction, the work Portrait of a woman sold for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,309.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Wolfe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Curtis Thomas in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,053.27).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Edward Wolfe erzielte im November 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit Including Collection of a Nobleman Part I wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a woman für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.309,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Wolfe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of Curtis Thomas im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.053,27).
