Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Port De Saint Malo by Elie Kanaan was sold in the We Are All Beirut auction at Christies in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,745.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elie Kanaan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Girl in a Field, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 64,007.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Port De Saint Malo von Elie Kanaan wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion We Are All Beirut bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.745,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Elie Kanaan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Girl in a Field beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 68.750,00 (€ 64.007,08) versteigert wurde.
