Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 625.00 (€ 705.83). Admittedly, works by Elijah Walton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Returning to Sinai - A Sketch in the Desert' in February 2021 with an auction result of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,411.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit An Alpine landscape von Elijah Walton kam im August 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 625,00 (€ 705,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elijah Walton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Returning to Sinai - A Sketch in the Desert' im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.411,42).
