This artwork by Élisabeth-Louise Vigée Le Brun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2018. In the Old Masters Evening Sale auction, the work Portrait of La maréchale-comtesse de Mailly, née Blanche Charlotte Marie Félicité de Narbonne Pelet (1761-1840), half-length sold for GBP 812,750.00 (€ 911,271.46) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 350,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Élisabeth-Louise Vigée Le Brun; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of the artist, bust-length sold at auction in October 2017 with the realized price of USD 1,512,500.00 (€ 1,298,506.18).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Élisabeth-Louise Vigée Le Brun erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
