Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2002 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work A courtyard scene with a peasant at the door of a house by Emanuel Murant. The price achieved of USD 2,629.00 (€ 2,667.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emanuel Murant have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two peasant women in a farm courtyard in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,597.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A courtyard scene with a peasant at the door of a house von Emanuel Murant zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.629,00 (€ 2.667,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emanuel Murant auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two peasant women in a farm courtyard im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.597,36).
