Auction result well in line with expectations
The work St. Moritz in Switzerland by Emil Cardinaux was sold in the Annabel's auction at Christies in London in November 2018. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,754.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emil Cardinaux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Palace Hotel, St. Moritz, which sold at auction in January 2012 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,173.14).

Die Arbeit St. Moritz in Switzerland von Emil Cardinaux wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Annabel's bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.754,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Emil Cardinaux mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Palace Hotel, St. Moritz beobachtet, die im Januar 2012 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.173,14) versteigert wurde.
