Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in Cologne held the auction Modern & Contemporary Auction, which included the work Madonnenstillleben mit Orchideen (Madonna Still Life with Orchids) by Emil Nolde. The price achieved of EUR 32,760.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 26,000.00 – 36,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Nolde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Herbstmeer XVI in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 7,344,500.00 (€ 6,305,915.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Köln die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonnenstillleben mit Orchideen (Madonna Still Life with Orchids) von Emil Nolde zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 32.760,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 26.000,00 – 36.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Nolde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Herbstmeer XVI im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.344.500,00 (€ 6.305.915,69).
