Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A saddled grey horse waiting in a stable by Emil Volkers was sold in the European Noble and Private Collections auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2012. The price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,800.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Emil Volkers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Saddled Bay Hunter in a Stable with a Dog in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 15,600.00 (€ 13,173.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A saddled grey horse waiting in a stable von Emil Volkers wurde im Dezember 2012 in der Auktion European Noble and Private Collections bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.800,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emil Volkers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Saddled Bay Hunter in a Stable with a Dog im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.600,00 (€ 13.173,45).
