Auction result well in line with expectations
The work By the well at dusk by Émile Boivin was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction at Christies in London in November 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 763.75 (€ 1,215.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Émile Boivin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French At The City Walls in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 4,500.00 (€ 5,735.89).

Die Arbeit By the well at dusk von Émile Boivin wurde im November 2001 in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 763,75 (€ 1.215,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Émile Boivin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French At The City Walls im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.500,00 (€ 5.735,89).
