Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2000 Christies in London held the auction IMPRESSIONIST AND 19TH CENTURY ART, which included the work Adam and Eve by Émile-René Ménard. The price achieved of GBP 998.75 (€ 1,591.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Émile-René Ménard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French The Three Graces in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 375,000.00 (€ 329,554.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion IMPRESSIONIST AND 19TH CENTURY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Adam and Eve von Émile-René Ménard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 998,75 (€ 1.591,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Émile-René Ménard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French The Three Graces im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 375.000,00 (€ 329.554,44).
