Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction European Noble and Private Collections, which included the work An elegant lady in a silk dress by Emile Wauters. The price achieved of EUR 3,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emile Wauters - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Head of a bearded Italian, which sold at auction in September 2005 for EUR 7,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion European Noble and Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit An elegant lady in a silk dress von Emile Wauters zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Emile Wauters mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Head of a bearded Italian beobachtet, die im September 2005 für EUR 7.200,00 versteigert wurde.
